Carla Tardi

Professional Bio ― April 1, 2010

For more than 10 years, Carla Tardi has served top-tier Wall Street (and more recently health care) firms as manager of editorial and research services by creating and implementing custom communications solutions.  Carla brings depth and experience collaborating with both internal and external clients to provide effective, strategic content.  She possesses a keen ability to interpret and disseminate complex technical subject matter succinctly, putting it into "plain English.”   A superb editor and writer, Carla has acted as liaison with research analysts, portfolio managers, account executives, C-level executives, IT departments and so forth to develop content, delivery vehicles and communications strategies.

At Fidelity, for example, Carla drove a significant change-management initiative by creating a new research-publishing platform for analysts in its Boston, London, Tokyo and Hong Kong offices.  This project required that Carla get total buy-in from 100 analysts, 75 portfolio managers and senior management.  Her system literally changed the way analysts wrote research and portfolio managers received it.  At her most recent employer — Summer Street Research Partners, an equity research boutique covering the Biotech, Pharmaceutical and MedTech sectors — Carla built a Web-based publishing system that delivered breaking investment commentary to the sales desk in real time.  This gave the company the edge it needed to enhance client relationships, ultimately boosting its bottom line.

As technologically as she is conceptually oriented, Carla’s skills include designing, delivering and maintaining information systems.  She is experienced in most current technologies including SharePoint 7.0 and other content-management authoring tools and enjoys functioning as an MS Word and PowerPoint guru!

As her broad educational background — which includes a post-graduate Certificate in Publishing and Communications from Harvard University — reflects, Carla has been passionately committed to the disciplines of language, graphic arts and the organization and transfer of knowledge throughout her career.
